rental house vs. new house

I have to say that I am really ready for the new house.

rental house:
1. gross '70s carpet
2. wood outside rotting (probably termites too)
3. new grass - thank you Axsoms (and mom/dad)..
--having to set up sprinklers and move them..
4. big sliding glass doors
5. poor a/c unit that is not equipped to get the cool air to the bedrooms, so only the office and living room stays cool
6. faulty wiring, only some outlets work, other work sometimes
7. wall paper - enough said
8. carpet in the bathrooms

so those are my gripes about this rental house, all in all, it's been ok for the last 6 yrs. It has seen us thru a lot: a deployment to iraq, an injury and back, 2 promotions, the addition of 2 furry babies, the addition of a corvette, and a pcs to korea.

all in all, glad to be moving to Florida

excited about the new house which will feature the following:
1. a regular people door to the outside
2. a small 3 - 5 ft screened in pool
3. an a/c unit big enough for the house
4. tile throughout except in the bedrooms
5. NO - i repeat - NO WALL PAPER
6. a stand alone island kitchen
7. a 42 in whirlpool tub
8. inset sprinkler system with water notifier (ie: turns off if it has been raining)
- no moving involved

yup. I can't wait. FL here we come.
