Had a funny thing happen today...
(the background: we have put a cover on our pool to help keep it warmer. the cover looks like bubble wrap, and makes the pool look a bit like an ice block. the cover just floats on the top of the water)
Then today:
Everyone was out in the yard - I was checking the fence for holes, while Bailey, Spunky, and Brad were in by the pool.
Brad was putting a storage shed together, Spunky was eating some of the cardboard (her fav. past-time), and Bailey was running around the edge of the pool..
Brad had the storage box at one end of the pool, in the middle of the short end - between the two long sides of the pool...
So as Bailey comes running down one side of the pool, towards Brad - barking at whatever she hears...
When all of a sudden, Brad and the box are in her way - so what does she decide to do?? Take the long way THRU the pool...
she decided to jump around the box, into the pool - which from her shocked look, she thought was solid!
She landed on a step, and the cover sort of held her up... but it was like quicksand.. she couldn't swim, couldn't stand - wasn't quite sure what to do -- but Dad was there quick enough to save her out of the pool..
Bet she never does that again! :D
